      SCHOOL CLOSED - March 2nd 2018

In consulation with the primary and secondary schools of Mold we have taken the decision to close the schools on the grounds of health and safety of children on site and also that of the staff and parents. We are mindful that an early decision may well be easier for parents and guardians to make arrangements for the children.

Croeso/Welcome to our school. At Ysgol Bryn Gwalia we are very proud of our school. It has wonderful grounds, is very well resourced and has excellent staff who are fully committed to the pupils. There are 230 children aged from 3 to 11 years in our friendly one-form entry primary school.

I hope that this website provides you with a good feel for the school. It is important for you to feel confident that your child is safe and happy at Bryn Gwalia. Our strong family ethos promotes learning and encourages the development of all pupils; children need to want to come to school in order to learn and develop.

At Bryn Gwalia attention is paid to the latest research into how children learn, therefore, we are continually developing the curriculum to ensure that all of the children are able to achieve their full potential, whilst also developing the child as a whole to become confident and interdependent members of an ever changing and challenging society. Each and every child deserves the opportunity to discover their own strengths and talents in order to prepare for the future.

We have a full programme of educational trips and visitors to our school to provide a wide variety of experiences beyond the classroom.

Our teams of teachers are supported by an invaluable team of support and administrative staff. We also have a very committed and involved governing body who constantly support what we do, challenge us to do better and help drive the school forward. The school also has a parents' association who organise regular fund raising activities for us.

A positive attitude from parents towards school is absorbed by the children which in turn encourages them to take full advantage of all aspects of school life.

Bryn Gwalia is a good school that is continually seeking improvement. Our success is down to many factors but mostly it is down to our biggest asset - the children.

      Dilwyn Jones.

      Head Teacher.
